in New on DVD

Total extremes, 1 release last week to 8 releases this week.  There are a couple we have done full reviews on and a few I have never heard of so without further adieu:

First up we have

MIB III

Not the best movie of all time but what do you expect with the 3rd of what should have been a 1 movie series.  We did a full review on this film a while back and you can read our thoughts @ http://3guys1movie.com/?p=4636. I must tell you it was one of our lowest rated films of the year.

Next up we have

Sparkle

With all the reality television out there about people trying to make it in the music biz I have had just about enough of this.  I have no desire to waste my time with this one.

Next up we have

Lawless

This was okay and it inspired more cardigan wearing across the country, which is a good thing.  Shia LeBeouf did nothing to ruin this film which is a feat in itself.  We did a full review on this film a while back and you can read that @ http://3guys1movie.com/?p=6245.

Next up we have

Paranorman

A decent 3D stop-motion film about a boy who sees dead people.  We did a full write-up a while back on this film which you can enjoy @ http://3guys1movie.com/?p=6075

Then we have

Step Up 4

I hate this movie without even seeing a trailer.

and then we have

The Apparition

Holy 4% fresh, I know nothing about this one and apparently that is the way it should stay.

Next up we have

The Day

Yet another postapocalyptic tale that I am sure falls flat on character development and story but everybody is doing a film about the apocalypse, so why not.

and finally we have

Burning Man

This film follows the crazy life of a British Chef who works in a Bondi restaurant, what is Bondi you may ask?  Well it is a an Australian style restaurant, according to WIKI.  Seems funny but might be best for Chefs, especially Bondi Chefs.

That’s it that’s all

MIB 3 wasnt as bad as part 2 IMO, I actually somewhat liked it and I was expecting it to be total garbage, if you want to throw out freshness I guess you could point it to its 70% fresh rating, but we don’t need to do that. ParaNorman is also a very well done movie that I also enjoyed quite a bit.

I thought both MIB 2 and 3 were kind of a waste of time. I throw out freshness when it is exteme, high or low and I have very little information about the film. I cannot see every DVD so sometimes I have to rely on other sources of information.

Paranorman was one of the better 3D movies. May be a pit intense for youngsters. The story was well developed. Lawless I may have liked but didn’t remember it till now so that tells right there.
