5 new releases to discuss in this weeks new on dvd segment.
First up we have
Les Miserables
I wrote up a review of this film a while back and you can read that @ http://3guys1movie.com/les-miserables/ . After watching it I wanted to write-up a musical/video review for the film but I did not have the right equipment to produce such a video. Maybe some day.
next up we have
This is 40
I have yet to see this one but I did want to. I tend to enjoy Paul Rudd, even in his mediocre films. My wife is a fan of his also so we will probably catch his at some point.
then we have
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey
We did a full review of this film a while back and rated it highly yu can read that @ http://3guys1movie.com/the-hobbit-an-unexpected-journey/ The film is a bit slow but visually stunning, it certainly was a film that was probably best seen in the theater but if you are a fan of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy you will enjoy this one also.
next up we have
Zero Dark Thirty
Mark did a review of this one which he rated very highly and after I had seen it I have to agree, you can read his review @ http://3guys1movie.com/zero-dark-thirty/ definitely a must see in my opinion.
Finally we have
Rust and Bone
I have heard nothing about this film until I started this post. Looks like a tear jerker as a single father helps a wheelchair bound whale trainer regain her will to live.
That’s it that’s all

I’ve seen all of them, my favourites are Zero Dark Thirty and Rust and Bone. Both of them on my best films of 2012 list.
Rust and Bone did look intriguing, maybe I will check that one out. Seems to be the hidden gem of the week. Thanks for the input.
I have Rust and Bone and I have been gearing up to watch it. I liked Matthias Schoenaerts in Bullhead so I am interested to see how he is in this one.
Gonna have to pick up The Hobbit or the misses will kill me.
My wife also wants to see it, so I am sure we will along with This is 40, if it had Paul Rudd we have to see it.
Wait a minute, what about Badlands from the Criterion Collection? That’s the one to get!
One of my favorite Malick films, I will have to check that out.
I never got around to This Is 40 either. I was mildly curious about that one, so I might check it out at some point.
Also most likely gonna be picking up Les Miserables. Been wanting to see that one again.
Not a fan of Les Mis but you probably already know that, not terrible but a few obstacles I could not get over.
Seen all the films in this list on theaters except Rust and Bone. I’ll grab Les Miz, The Hobbit (I mildly enjoyed it. LOTR is still the king) and Zero Dark Thirty. What are your choices?
I have seen 3 of the 5 but with all the positive talk about Rust and Bone it seems i need to see that one, also my wife and I will watch This is 40 because of the Rudd. Thanks for stopping by Armand.
Hey guys: Until now I’ve never purchased a LOTR for the home collection. The Hobbit will be a first because in Harry Potter parlance I’m a Muggle. The Hobbit could have been titled LOTR: Origins and it did look great.
Yeah you could not beat the look of The Hobbit I am interested how it looks on a TV. I am still a little miffed at the 3 movies for the Hobbit and feel like it could been done in 2.
I’m on the fence about picking ZDT up on Blu-ray. Maybe just The Hobbit to round up the collection.
The Hobbit will probably have a bunch of extras.
