in New on DVD

5 new releases to look at today and a few I have been waiting for.

First up we have

Paranormal Activity 4

Please stop making these films.

next up we have

Seven Psychopaths

I have been wanting to see this one since it was released over the summer and was disapointed we did not get out to see it, very excited to see this and even though it did not do to well in the theater with this cast there has to be some great dialogue. I will see anything Walken is in.

then we have

Hotel Transylvania

This film seemed to be released around the time we had Paranorman and Frankenweenie so this one was last on the animation film list, regardless we will be watching this one for family movie night probably next weekend.

then we have

The Cold Light of Day

You figure you put a movie together with Bruce Willis and Sigourney Weaver it has a shot, not so it seems with this one.  I have not read one positive word about this film.

and finally we have

The Awakening

Cannot say I heard much about this one.  If you like ghost stories this one may be up your alley.

That’s it that’s all

I was pretty excited to see Seven Psychopaths but it wan’t really the movie I expected. The Awakening looks terrible but I do love Rebecca Hall so I might check it out sometime.

I know I am going to end up seeing Hotel Transylvania as the boy has his eye on it.

I was not looking forward to 2, 3 or 4 so 5 is beyond what is reasonable in my opinion.

Yes, Seven Psychopaths! I love that movie. Like a lot. Screw the others.

As my review said Seven Psychopaths was a Walken in the park for him. He was great in that and A Late Quartet. Sam Rockwell never gets his due recognition.

Now to dung its Hotel Transylvania. Adams boy will like it and their are some wholesome themes but Gawd in 2D or 3D the animation is crud. Just look at the pic you posted. Count Dracula looks drawn with Crayola. Very plain flat image of a main character that 3D makes even more glaring bad.

Second decent thought on 7 Psychopaths I am starting to get excited to see it. I also enjoy Rockwells work and agree he is underrated in some circles.

Ah come on someone has to have noticed the Walken the park joke. No one here or the time in my original review even gave a groan. I’m hurt :(

I thought everyone got it so to say anything would be redundant.

I will have to buy Seven Psychopaths, greatly underrated movie (especially if you like movies about movies and witty script writing)
