Man Causes Panic on Flight With Princess Bride T-shirt

On a flight over the weekend the suspicious individual below, one Wynand Mullins caused some fellow passengers to become panic-stricken.  No it wasn’t because he was playing words with friends during take-off.  Mullins crime was more sinister.  Mullins was wearing a t-shirt with a quote from the popular 1987 comedy The Princess Bride.  Apparently in this day and age of hyper vigilance wearing a T-shirt with “Hello My Name is Inigo Montoya you killed my Father Prepare to Die” is frowned upon.

Mullins was approached by flight crew members who asked him to remove his shirt as it was frightening fellow passengers.  Thankfully, this was the only shirt Mullins had with him and he was allowed to wear his shirt for the remainder of the flight.  Might I suggest that all future Qantas flights only show The Princess Bride as in flight entertainment as penance for their stupidity.

I don’t know about you, but considering some of the attire I have seen my fellow weary travelers wearing this “offensive” t-shirt is pretty mild.  Besides you could always be stuck in a row with this guy.

O yeah portions of this story, not the funny parts, were originally reported by those Pulitzer prize winners at Stuff Magazine. Stuff

Samuel L. Jackson would not have put up with this injustice.

Jen, compared to the pajamas I see many folks wearing on planes this guys seems over dressed. ;-)

That’s ridiculous. We are becoming far too sensitive as a society these days…

That is true Eric, also more people need to watch The Princess Bride.

Give it another 25 years and maybe people will have heard of The Princess Bride.
